Friends Win State-wide Award
01, NovWe recently won a state-wide Environmental Achievement Award! One of 10 winners this year, the Friends organization was recognized for "outstanding accomplishment in local environmental protection" by ANJEC, the Association of NJ Environmental Commissions.
As part of the nomination process, we wrote a history (a saga, really) of the 8-year preservation effort. That document -- plus some interesting pictures -- is now available for all to see right here on our website.
Shown in the photo are, left to right: Jennifer Coffey (ANJEC Executive Director), Nancy Tindall (ANJEC Executive Board President), Rich Dilks (Friends Chairman), and Scott Barnes (Friends Treasurer).
