There are two simple rules for dog owners:

  1. Dogs Must Be Leashed At All Times.
  2. Owners Must Clean Up After Their Dogs And Remove The Waste from The Preserve.

Unleashed dogs run the risk of negative encounters:

  1. with other dogs,
  2. with Preserve visitors
  3. and with wildlife, such as ground nesting birds.

These are state park rules under the STATE PARK SERVICE CODE: N.J. A. C. 7:2-2.8 (c), (f)

AND IT’S THE LAW: Deptford Twp. ordinances require dogs be leashed in public places and prohibit leaving dog waste in public parks. Deptford Township [Ord. No. 7-10-67; 1967 Code § 20-23] 8-9.1, 8-19, BH:13-2.2(m)

OWNERS CAN BE FINED UP TO $50 FOR EACH OFFENCE.
