On four days in November participants in Climate Corps removed a large amount of Asiatic bittersweet and Callery pear from the park. These are invasive plants which grow quickly, crowd out native plants, and do not benefit native insects and animals. In accordance with park policies for volunteers, this work was completed entirely with hand tools like pruners and loppers. Thank you for a job well done.
